Tauranga Ski Club
Since 1955 the Tauranga Ski Club has been quietly building one of the most laid-back, community-driven ski experiences on the slopes of Whakapapa Skifield, and while we’re serious about the snow, we’re even more serious about the good times. What started as a group of “young enthusiasts” from Tauranga with a love for the mountain has grown to include families, long-time members, new riders and even boarders looking for a pad up the maunga.
Our lodge is more than just somewhere to sleep: drying-room debriefs after bluebird days, sunrise missions to the first lift, and weekends where the ski day only ends when the firelight turns down. Oh! and though it’s winter that draws most of us, our huts are available year-round for those who just want crisp air, bush walks, mountain biking or to tick off the legendary alpine trail.
Whether you’re fresh to skiing, chasing your hundredth run, bringing the family or simply want somewhere to unplug at altitude, you’ll find a home here with us, the Tauranga Ski Club crew.

The Constitution provides principles and precedents by which the Tauranga Ski Club operates.
Since the Club was established in 1955, there have been several additions and amendments to the constitution. Every effort has been made to ensure that the version on our website is an accurate representation of the various rule changes over the years. The Committee have also taken the opportunity to ensure the language of the constitution is more gender neutral. The version on our website, it is absent of the relevant signatures and seals supporting the rule amendments over the years.

The Lodge Booking Card provides members with important information on annual re-registration and subscription costs, lodge bed rates and the booking procedures for the year. It is important that members review the lodge booking card each year as the procedures governing bookings can change year to year, as determined by the Committee.
